Available in nearly half of ESPN leagues, Ellington is second in the NFL in targets over the past two weeks. With point-per-reception formats in mind, Ellington’s surge in passing usage reveals a new high-floor fantasy role. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have surrendered 57.5 yards to tailbacks this season, seventh most in the league, providing Ellington a nice matchup this week.
Digging deeper at the position, the Colts’ Marlon Mack has proved prolific on limited opportunities so far. It’s difficult to project more than 10 touches for the emergent rookie, but at least this lottery ticket comes with splash play potential for those in desperate need of a deep-league flex candidate. — McCormick
I know what you’re thinking, which is, no, never, not a chance, when it comes to considering McCown as a starting fantasy option. Consider this, though: The New England Patriots are the first team in league history to have allowed at least 300 passing yards in each of the first five games of the season, per Elias. There is real risk in deploying McCown, who has one or fewer touchdowns in three games, but the game script should be pass-happy for New York as substantial home underdogs against a defense that has allowed the most points per drive in the NFL. — McCormick
Elite Mens D’Onta Foreman Jersey Field Yates, NFL Insider: Chargers over Raiders. There are some games that feel just too imbalanced to project an upset — i.e. the Browns over the Texans — so let’s stick with this one, noting a caveat: I believe there is a legitimate shot that Derek Carr plays in Week 6, and I also believe the Chargers can get the job in an upset. Los Angeles’ defensive line is one of the most dominant in the NFL. The Raiders have an established, veteran offensive line but the early season struggles are apparent. They’ve allowed 12 sacks through five games after a league-low 18 last season, and are 23rd in rushing yards per game after finishing sixth in the same category last year. Look for L.A. to make it two straight road wins.
Baltimore Ravens running back Terrance West is doubtful to return to Sunday’s game against the Raiders.
West injured his calf on Baltimore’s opening drive of the game. He got the start over Alex Collins, running hard for 17 yards on his first two carries.
West, the Ravens’ leading rusher, has struggled for most of the season. He had fallen behind Collins on the depth chart the previous two weeks and had been limited to 10 total carries.
Authentic Mens Jordan Crawford Jersey Injuries have hurt the Ravens all season. Baltimore has already placed 16 players on injured reserve.
This was evident with Carr this week when he moved from exercising in the pool on Wednesday to returning to practice on a limited basis on Thursday, even making throws to receivers during the portion of practice open to the media. He was again listed as a limited participant on Friday, and the team has left the door open for Carr to play in Sunday’s game by labeling him questionable. Actually playing in the game seems unlikely, but ESPN.com’s Paul Gutierrez discussed the prospect of Carr dressing for the game as a backup.
It is one thing to make throws and move around untouched in practice. It is quite another to take direct hits — either from a defender or the ground — to an area that is no doubt still very uncomfortable. Two other quarterbacks who suffered this injury — Tony Romo and Cam Newton, in 2014 — missed one game each, but returned two weeks post-injury without incident. The Raiders will not make their decision official until game time.
Ty Montgomery, Green Bay Packers, ribs, (D), 4:25 p.m. ET: Montgomery suffered multiple broken ribs in Week 4, and perhaps the most surprising thing about his progression was his presence at practice so soon afterward. He was listed as a limited participant Wednesday while wearing rib protection and was listed similarly Thursday, not participating in team portions of practice, although he did some individual work indoors.

Washington receivers coach Ike Hilliard, among others, walked past Pryor during the exchange, and Hilliard briefly turned around as Pryor started toward the fan. Another fan shouted to Pryor, “Do something, Terrelle! Do something, baby!”
But Pryor said his initial anger stemmed from a fan calling him the N-word during the Redskins’ 29-20 loss.
Via Instagram Stories, Pryor wrote that he was called this “several times to the point where an NFL employee had to step to me and stand by me the whole game from second quarter on is the exact reason why guys are kneeling during the anthem.”
Pryor, who has only stood during the anthem, said that after hearing someone call him the N-word and then having fans shout obscenities, “me flicking the person off is more deserving.”
Roethlisberger also told 93.7 that he prefers Brown talk to him about missed plays instead of creating a distraction. Asked whether Brown will get the message, Roethlisberger said, “I’m sure.”
“He’s a professional,” said Roethlisberger, who added that the players have moved on from the flare-up. “He’s probably the best wide receiver in the game now, maybe to ever play.”
On Wednesday, he tweeted an apology.
Defensive end Cam Heyward joked it’s not as if Brown acted like former Indiana basketball coach Bob Knight, who once famously threw a chair across the floor in the middle of a game.
Shazier is eager to put together his first full season, and though this injury isn’t believed to be serious, the Steelers will monitor closely. Safety Sean Davis (ankle), guard Ramon Foster (thumb) and defensive end Stephon Tuitt (bicep) all missed practice Wednesday but played last week in Baltimore. The Steelers did not absorb any major negativity injury-wise against the Ravens, coach Mike Tomlin said. — Jeremy Fowler
Foxworth: I know that the Colts do not belong in the AFC South. I believe in the directional integrity of NFL divisions. And it is undeniable that Indiana is not a southern state. Indianapolis isn’t even in the southern part of the state. Oh, and the Texans finally found a franchise quarterback in Deshaun Watson.
Kimes: The Jaguars are a frustratingly inconsistent team with a maddening offense, but their defense is still earning its preseason hype. The pass defense in particular has been special, allowing a league-low 147 yards per game. While second-year cornerback Jalen Ramsey struggled a bit this Sunday, he and free-agent pickup A.J. Bouye have mostly thrived; according to Football Outsiders, Jacksonville allowed a measly 31.7 yards per game to No. 1 receivers through Week 3, giving up just 14.3 yards to No. 2 options.

Sando: It’s a tie between Blake Bortles being inaccurate as a passer, Indy being completely dependent on Andrew Luck, Marcus Mariota being at high risk for injuries and Houston having a formidable pass rush.

Seifert: It’s still the worst division in football. None of these four teams can win a playoff game.
